The school of information and control engineering was founded in 1960 and developed from the radio specialty. In 1972, the electrical automation specialty of industrial and mining enterprises was opened and enrolled continuously. At the same time, the teaching and Research Office of electrical automation of industrial and mining enterprises was established to form the electromechanical department together with mining machinery and construction machinery. The Department of automatic control was established in 1986 and the College of information and control engineering was rebuilt in 1999.
